WSLife.com Earns The Customer Respect Group's No. 1 Ranking in the Life Insurance Industry
In its Third Quarter 2008 Online Customer Respect Study of Life Insurance Industry Web Sites, The Customer
Respect Group ranked WSLife.com No. 1 in the life insurance industry and No. 3 overall of all sites reviewed.
With its Customer Respect Index (CRI) score of 7.7 on the 10-point scale, Western & Southern Life becomes the
first life insurance company to be awarded an "Excellent Rating" and outpaces Nationwide and Metropolitan Life,
the next highest ranking sites, each with a score of 6.7. WSLife.com was a consistent performer across all five
CRI sub-indexes (Content, Navigation, Search, Trust, and Dialog), never ranking below second place in the life
insurance industry. In general, the life insurance industry scored 5.9 on the 10-point scale, compared to a
Cross-Industry Benchmark of 6.4.
Terry Golesworthy, President of The Customer Respect Group, acknowledged WSLife.com’s accomplishment by saying,
"Western & Southern Life is the only life insurance Web site ever to receive the Excellent Rating for online
customer respect. The evaluations cover a broad range of tests and look at multiple aspects of the treatment
of the online user. The Web site was found to be comprehensive, intuitive, innovative, and highly respectful
of the online user; of particular note is the variety of options the site provides for online users to ask
specific questions, making the experience an interactive dialog as opposed to a monologue. A Web site is a
very good indicator of how a company treats customers and prospects, and the Western & Southern Life Web site
is excellent."
The Customer Respect Group is an international research and consulting firm that focuses on how corporations
treat and respect their online customers. The CRI which is comprised of five sub-indexes, 60 visitor benefit
statements, and 250 objectively measured criteria is designed to identify best practices, online trends,
